details and directions!

Hi!!!

Here are directions for Saturday.

Address: 701 Main Road Eltham

From City, take the eastern freeway and get off at Bulleen and Thompson Road. Continue straight along Thompson Road and follow signs to Eltham (all the turns are signed).

When coming into Eltham, you go over a small bridge, then you will see a Shell petrol station, it's the first left after the Eltham Shell petrol station. There is a school crossing, and a white whether-board house with a white picket fence, this is where you turn left. You have arrived, please follow the ash-felt bike path till you cant go any further and park on the left in the paddock. I will see you entering, but good to know just in case.

You can always buzz me but just in case prob good to print these details out if you can.

And here is a link to a map:

Makeup: Phil's 'Man'

Richard, can you get some makeup to match your colour?

I'll bring some, but could be a little too light for you.

As MATTE as possible (i.e. no gloss).
I got some stuff called 'designer brands' at the chemist for 'Frank' last wkend; was about $12.

This will be important to blend the scars.

Also, the liquid latex needs at least 30min drying time before we can add the colour, so I'll have to start on the scars the minute I get there tomorrow; I'll try to be there by 7:00am, so you're made up & ready by 7:30.

Lastly: do you have a hair dryer? will help speed up the make-up.

Bring Warm Clothes...

Friday Weather Forecast:

Isolated morning showers, clearing to a partly cloudy afternoon. Winds west to southwesterly averaging up to 25 km/h becoming light during the morning.

City
Early shower.

Max

It gets pretty cold up in the ranges so wear a few pairs of socks, and bring gloves and scarf if you have them...and a nice jacket with a few layers...you can get a bit warm when you're moving around, so it's nice to be able to take a layer off.

Alright, I will update later if I have more information.

See you all Friday morning :-)

Phil

HIGHLIGHT THE TEXT FROM MY LAST POST TO READ...

For some reason what I posted went black text on black background, so if you highlight it or cut and paste it into a word doc, you will be able to see it...sorry not sure why that happened.

Here is my script...there is no dialogue :-)

“ORTUS”

SCRIPT

By: Philip Einwick

1 EXT. FOREST. DAY

Establishing shot overlooking a large mountainous range with lots of natural noise. The shot pans across the ranges and begins to slowly zoom into the depths of the woods.

2 INT. WOODS. DAY

A man is running through the woods very easily maneuverings through the bushes, pushing branches with hands, feet effortlessly running and jumping through the woods. Close ups of body parts, interaction with nature, facial expressions.

3 EXT. DWELLING IN WOODS. DUSK

The man arrives at a dwelling in the middle of the forest where inside waiting is a woman holding a baby wrapped in a red blanket. After slowly approaching the swelling he enters.

4 INT. DWELLING. DUSK

The man approaches his woman, who is holding a baby wrapped in a red blanket. He makes eye contact with his partner, and the looks down at his child and gently touches the baby in the mother's arms. He looks at peace with his woman and child. He embraces his woman and the three cerwl up together.

5 EXT. DWELLING. NIGHT

The man and woman are inside with child looking very much as peace. An unknown force/creature comes across the bottom of the screen in front of the dwelling entrance. Leaves begin to fall from the trees and fill the whole screen.

6 INT. DWELLING. MORNING

The man wakes up quickly and panics because his woman and child are missing. He runs out of the dwelling.

7 EXT. DWELLING/FOREST. MORNING

The man, in a panic is looking around, in the distance he sees the red blanket that the baby was wrapped in pulled behind a tree, almost like the wind carried it away into the woods, until it disappears. The man quickly bolts after it, running for his child and wife's life.

8 EXT. FOREST. DAY

The man is running through the woods in a desperation to find his missing family. He is in a panic and has fear written all over his face, as he goes deeper into the woods to try to locate his family.

9 EXT. FOREST CLEARING. DAY

The man runs into a clearing, breathing very heavy. He hunches over trying to catch his breathe and see the thread from his child's red blanket stringing across the earth. He begins to pull the thread up faster and faster as he falls to his knees pulling up the red thread from the ground. Finally at the end of the thread he pulls a big skeleton key. A deeper concern comes over his face.

10 EXT. FOREST EDGE. DAY

The man turns and looks back to the edge of the forest. The woman is standing next to a large tree, and she turns and disappears back into the forest.

Reschedule for John. Not shooting this Saturday (1st May).

Hi All,

I'd like to reschedule my shoot for the same weekend as Jessie's.
This means I will not be shooting this Saturday (1st May).

After last weekend, which I very much enjoyed, I really don't think three days in a row is doable.

It will be wicked if some of you are able to help and I will post up-dates as we get closer to the time.

cheers,

John

That weekend that was

Hey guys

Just wanted to say thank you all. this weekend was really good and even though we were all fucked after it, i'm glad we did it. Was a lot of fun. Everyone was really good to work with and on the ball so yeah hope you enjoyed it as much as me.

See you next weekend.

Cheers

AHHHHHHHHHH

Hey
So we start shooting tomorrow. crap. haha. nah should be good.. hopefully.

The address for mine is 11 Clifton Ave, Clifton Hill. Clifton Ave is a one way street so access it from Ramsden St. Also parking should be available down the street with no time permits, or at least a street close by so parking shouldn't be a problem. however don't park in the driveway as we'll be shooting there.

umm.. oh get there at 5 for set up to shoot at around quarter to 6 when the sun starts going down. that way we can do the outside night shoots with just enough light to slightly fill the background will still looking like night time.

i don't know what else.. um.. except my dad will be cooking dinner for everyone, my guess is he'll do pasta with a range of different sauces. If anyone has any allergies please let me know.

If there are any other questions please call me on 0411 624 068

See ya tomorrow!

Roman Sheds Light

Dear all,

I'm available for any role, any day and any location.

As of tomorrow I will acquire a cheap mobile phone to simplify contactability (after misplacing it not long ago).

As to shed light on my project it is essentially a farce. 'The Blue Cheese Cafe' and is about a failing piano bar. If all goes to plan it will involve pianos, violin, whiskey, vodka, cigars, dressing up, forged bank notes and dodgy characters. The location will be in South Melbourne.

I have some stage lights and a small home-made crane that I am more than happy to lend although I haven't really used the crane yet so I'm not sure about it's calibration or how to attach it onto a camera. I also drive a ute if it is needed for anything.

Best wishes,

Roman
Dear all,

Updates

Hi All,

The references to Phil's locations below are, from what I hear, out-of date.

Also, the shoots are coming up fast, so we'll need to organise dates/places etc.

I think that Jessie and Marcus have their locations already sorted, so perhaps we should consider doing their shoots first? Just a suggestion...

See you tomorrow (Monday 19th Apr).
Hopefully we can catch up quickly early this week, or post your info here.

Locations 1.1 Hanging Rock

Hanging Rock also looks trippy from above. I have yet to check out permissions etc.
I might also look elsewhere around Macedon Ranges, to the South.

Locations 1.0: Phil's Establishing Shot & Lake Shot sites

This is a link to the site I was talking about for the establishing. There's an open clear track; dense bush on the north side and well-maintained national park on the south side. Access to this site would require carrying gear about 1 km over a hill. Its about 50 min. South East of Melb.

Here's a link to the site for the 'Lake Shot', known as 'Bob's Park' (See Green Arrow). This site is a public park and is quite accessable. About 1hr South East of Melb.
